In the UK Kubotan’s are considered an offensive weapon..so if you don’t wish to break the law but still have a similar self defence weapon…a good steel pen cam be just as effective if used in a similar fashion.

realtors get calls and make appointment to meet people at a vacant house up forsale. They have no idea who their prospective is. Now many realtors have these ‘buyers’ meet them at the realestate office and ask for ID’s, but that’s not a 100 percent deterrent.

Punker182, I think MoD is using an aluminium self-defense stick, as the term ‘Kubotan’ is a trademark referring only to plastic/resin molded, non-sharpened self-defense tools. The true kubaton has no spikes or sharp edges. Because of this, it can also be used to spread the weight when carrying heavy shopping bags (and of course stop you losing your keys). You really don’t need anything fancy; just a stick once you learn kubotan basics.
