Where have LowerMyBills LendingTree and RealEstate gone?

Posted by admin on March 4th, 2010 and filed under realestate com | 4 Comments »

The sites lowermybills.com , lendingtree.com and realestate.com seem to have vanished off the face of the Earth. I read somewhere that Lending Tree was in a court case but that is all I know…

LendingTree and Bankrate.com are both being sued for using bait-and-switch tactics. LendingTree, for example, advertises that "when banks compete you win." However, many leads are sent directly to it’s wholly owned direct lending division, Home Loan Center.

LowerMyBills is having similar issues.

Which site is best for realestate in US?

Posted by admin on March 2nd, 2010 and filed under realestate com | 2 Comments »

I have been to these sites:
1. realestate.yahoo.com
2. zillow.com
3. trulia.com

Which site do you you think is the best one?
Do you know about any other sites?

Since "all real estate is local" I think the website should be local also. If you are looking for real estate in Houston Texas there are several web site (at least three dozen) that have the entire MLS in search-able format. Most high production real estate agents provide this access on their website at no cost or obligation.

I see no advantage to a national site.

can I look up UK house prices like you can with http://realestate.yahoo.com/Homevalues In the USA?

ideally I would like to specify house type 3 or 4 bed see the different locations of the houses on a map.

Try nethouseprices.com

I can’t open the website www.realestate.yahoo.com with this computer?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under realestate com | 1 Comment »

It says "the page you requested was not found" with this computer, but when i use another computer it works well.
I have vista. When i open the website with firefox it does open, but it doesn’t work with windows explorer.

If you use Internet Explorer check if the security level ist at medium high by going to Tools >> internet Options >> security tab >> see if the security bar is at the middle which is the medium high

Check also that you have internet connection on the computer which cannot access the web site. Try to access other web sites and see if they load.

RE: www.realestate.yahoo.com?

We want to list timeshare resales but don’t see a category for either timeshares or timeshare resales. How would we list that and how would people find that?
We are Website developers looking for "Open Source" software that we can use on a clients Website. Or, we will consider using and ASP solution. Any ideas?

craigslist.org would be the best advice I could give. It’s a great all-around resource for anything.
